Yarnie Data Deletion Policy

1. Overview

At Yarnie, we respect your right to control your personal data. You may request the deletion of your account and associated data at any time. This policy explains how to request deletion, what data is deleted, and the timeline for processing.

2. How to Request Data Deletion

You can request data deletion through any of the following methods:

2.1 In-App Deletion (Recommended)

1. Open Yarnie.
2. Go to Profile tab.
3. Tap the Settings (gear) icon.
4. Scroll down and tap Delete Account.
5. Confirm the deletion in the confirmation dialog.

This is the fastest method — your account and core data are deleted immediately.

2.2 Email Request

Send an email to info@peoplepark.app with:

• Subject: "Data Deletion Request"
• Your Apple Sign-In email address or username.
• Confirmation that you want your account and data permanently deleted.

We will process email requests within 30 days of receipt.

2.3 Web Request

Visit https://yarnie.peoplepark.app/data-deletion-yarnie and follow the instructions to submit a deletion request.

3. What Gets Deleted

When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed:

3.1 Immediately Deleted

• User Profile: Display name, email, username, bio, date of birth, language preference, all profile settings.
• Authentication Account: Your Firebase Authentication record (Apple Sign-In or guest session).
• Device Registrations: All push notification tokens and device information associated with your account.
• Subscription Status: Premium status flags (note: active subscriptions must be cancelled separately through Apple).

3.2 Deleted Within 30 Days

• Posts: All photos and captions you shared on the social feed, including associated images stored in our cloud.
• Comments: All comments you left on other users' posts.
• Direct Messages: Your side of all direct message conversations. Note: messages already delivered to other users may remain in their conversation history.
• Profile Images: Your profile photo stored in our cloud storage.
• Follow Relationships: All follower and following relationships.
• Post Interactions: Your likes, saves, and share records.
• Pattern Progress: Your completed patterns, current progress, and favorites.
• Saved Patterns: Your saved pattern list.

4. What Is NOT Deleted

The following data is not deleted:

• Anonymized Analytics: Aggregated, anonymous usage analytics that do not contain personally identifiable information (e.g., total pattern view counts, feature usage statistics).
• Data Required by Law: Any data we are legally required to retain (e.g., transaction records for tax or legal compliance purposes).
• Third-Party Copies: Content that other users may have saved, screenshotted, or shared outside of Yarnie is beyond our control.
• Apple Subscription Records: Your subscription and payment history with Apple. To manage or cancel subscriptions, visit your Apple ID account settings.

6. Before You Delete

Please note:

• Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
• If you re-register after deletion, a completely new account will be created with no prior data.
• Cancel active subscriptions first. Deleting your Yarnie account does not automatically cancel your Apple subscription. To avoid continued charges, cancel your subscription in Apple Settings > Subscriptions before deleting your account.
• Download your data. If you want to keep copies of your posts or content, please save them before requesting deletion.
